Collège Charlemagne Model United Nations 2018

Collège Charlemagne Model United Nations (CCIMUN) is a weekend-long conference held in the West Island of Montreal. It is oriented towards beginner delegates, with committees suited for any taste. Due to the nature of the conference, CCIMUN is only accepting delegates from the high school circuit. Participants will take on the role of a country or character and spend a weekend debating various topics trying to find solutions to a plethora of problems plaguing the world. For example, a delegate may find himself in the OAS trying to resolve the crisis in Venezuela, just like he might be in SOCHUM attempting to end gender-based violence across the world.

Ultimately, CCIMUN tasks itself with initiating delegates into the wonderful world of Model United Nations, as well as deepening their knowledge of the state of our world. To achieve this task, the conference will offer options for everyone to enjoy. It offers committees ranging from general assemblies to crises, real to fictional, anglophone to francophone and everything in between.

The 2018 edition of CCIMUN, held on the weekend of March 17-18 at College Charlemagne, will feature 4 committees: the Organization of American States (anglophone GA), la Commission Sociale, Humanitaire et Culturelle (Assemblée Générale francophone), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (bilingual Specialized Agency) and Harry Potter’s Order of the Phoenix (anglophone crisis). We hope to see you there!
