Bishop Allen Model United Nations XI
The Bishop Allen Model United Nations Conference is a one-day event held in Toronto, open to students in high school or recent graduates, for all levels of experience. The Bishop Allen Secretariat is pleased to have opened registration to our eleventh annual conference, and one of the largest in the GTA. Having had over a decade of Model United Nations experience, this year's conference will feature a variety of exciting councils. This conference offers the classic councils which seek to mirror the real-life discussions of the United Nations which are: ECOSOC, WHO, Security Council, Arab League, and the Human Rights Council. However, we have also planned an exciting array of themed councils to offer a completely different environment for debaters. These include a Marvel Council, a Trump Crisis Council, and a historic USSR (Late 1980’s) Council.
This one-day conference is a great opportunity to meet new people and engage in thought provoking discussions. We have completely redesigned our BAMUN conference this year to be engaging for both beginning and experienced debaters.
BAMUN will be hosted on 6th April 2018 at the Toronto Police College at 70 Birmingham St, Toronto and we encourage all of you reading to register. With our world's ever-changing political climate, it is now more important than ever to stay informed on the issues of today and become leaders with grit and courage for tomorrow. It is our hope that BAMUN XI will continue to challenge and develop a generation of conscientious youth in public speaking skills and expand their horizons of the world we live in.
